THE FIRST COMPOSITION COMPETITION IN ITALY IN TERMS OF PARTICIPANTS!

We are thrilled to announce that the first edition of the "Premio di Roma Andrea Ceraso" Composition Competition has obtained an extraordinary result: 247 scores submitted from 44 countries! This makes it the first Italian competition in terms of participants, and among the very first internationally.  The pieces received are from the following countries (in alphabetical order): Albania, Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Cyprus, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Ireland, Iran, Israel, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Slovenia, Slovakia, Sri Lanka, South Korea, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom and United States.  This result was made possible thanks to a number of people and institutions, among which Associazione Culturale Eufonia —our partner in this endeavour— and its president Andrea Tagliaferri, its artistic director Claudio Cavallaro, our dear Saria Convertino, and Andrea's friends, Andrea Salvi, Massimo Spada, Angelo Magnifico, Fabiana Piersanti Rigano, Corinna Ricasoli (Archivitaly) and many others. But above all, this remarkable result was achieved by Andrea Ceraso himself: a special person and friend, and a talented professional who enjoyed the esteem of many musicians worldwide.  The jury, chaired by Sidney Corbett, and composed of Alessio Elia and Vincenzo De Filippo, is now busy evaluating the pieces. The winners will be announced by 15 August 2021. A heartfelt thanks goes out to all the composers who submitted and shared their works and to all those who made this happen.

CHI SIAMO

(Info regarding the Associazione SHE LIVES - click on the flag for the English version)
